Hazrat Khwaja Khan Muhammad Sahib (rah) — revered across the subcontinent simply as “Aka Hujur” — was the great Peer of Khanqah Sirajia at Kundian Sharif, Mianwali, Punjab. Born in 1920, he was a graduate of Darul Uloom Deoband in 1941, and dedicated his entire life to the cause of Khatm-e-Nubuwwat: defending the finality of the Prophethood of Rasulullah ﷺ against false claimants.
He took over the affairs of Khanqah Sirajia in 1956, and later became the Ameer (chief patron) of the Aalmi Majlis Tahaffuz-e-Khatm-e-Nubuwwat — a position from which he guided the movement worldwide. There are few places on the globe he did not visit in the service of this cause.
It was Aka Hujur who, as the Peer Waliey of the silsila, directed and sent his khalifa Hazrat Dr. Sayed Mohammad Ali (rah) to Bangladesh in 1967 — the journey from which Khanka Shirajia in Dhaka, and later the Siddiq Akbar Foundation, would grow. In this way the spiritual chain of Kundian was carried across to the soil of Bangladesh.
He remained devoted to the remembrance of Allah and the defence of the faith until his final days, passing away at the age of 98. His funeral was held at Kundian Sharif, Mianwali. He left behind a legacy of steadfastness, knowledge and unbroken spiritual transmission that the Foundation continues to honour.
